I felt very sad and lonely because my housemate, Aki, is going to go back to Japan. Today is his last day in NY. We went to JFK airport together. I just want to see him to go into the gate and say goodbye to him in the last minute.

Girlfriend and MSN are His Everything
We've been housemates about one year. He is a little quite and very gentle.

Broadway Show--Chicago

Today my housemates and I went to TKTS to buy today's Broadway Show ticket for Chicago. We went there about 2:30 PM. Fortunately, there were just about 100 people in front of us. We spent about one hour and 20 minutes on the line then got the 50% off tickets for Chicago. Those tickets are pretty close to the stage but they are in the right section of orchestra seat.

Chicago is the Great Musical
The musical was really fantastic. Those actresses danced so sexy and those actors acted so attractive. The show is about two hours and thirty minutes. They don't have deluxe stage and screen but they put the orchestra on the stage. We can easily see their performance. We were attracted to their singing and dancing. I think the ticket was worth than it costs. We're going to see other musicals in February.

Broadway Show--How to get ticket

The original Broadway Show tickets are very expensive. The orchestra ticket is about $100 and the front mezzanine ticket is about $75. Even for the rear mezzanine ticket, you still have to pay $55. There are some way to get cheaper ticket for some Broadway Show. For example, we can get 50% off orchestra ticket in TKTS or pay $30 to get student rush ticket in the box office.

You can get 50% off orchestra ticket from TKTS for most of the Broadway Show and Off-Broadway Show. The advantage is you can get 50% off. The disadvantages are you have to get there early then wait for long time. It depends on the time and weather. Usually, you cann't choose the seat you want. They'll assign the seat for you.

Get Student Rush or Standing Room Only Tickets from Box Office
Theatres sell unsold tickets at a discount on the day of the performance, even at the last minute. Some rush tickets are only for students. Some shows wait until a half-hour or an hour before show time. Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets are trickier to get because they are only available if the show is sold out. Shows that sell out often include Hairspray, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, and The Producers. If possible, call theatre to find out when to show up.

Get Driver Licence--Road Test

To pass today's road test, I went out with my landlady, Rosie, and my roommate, Aki, to practice my driving skill. We went to our neighborhood, then try and repeat all of the road test item. I took about one hour and 30 minutes. I have to say "thank you" to them because they taught me a lot and bought me a dinner.

Road Test
We went to the Kissena Park about 12:20, but there are about 20 examinants in our front. The good new is there are two tester, so we don't have to wait for long time. The bad new is one of testers is very tough. If you don't do well, she will yell a warming to you. Everyone wants to be tested by another tester.

I was very lucky because my tester wasn't that tough nut. My tester is a tall black man. He is ok but he likes woman a lot. I guess you know what I mean. He likes to do something for the female examinant. Hence, he just asked me to do the normal test, Starting engine, right turn, left turn, pull over, K U trun, and parallel parking. No extra one.

Get My Driver Licence
It took me about 6 minutes to pass the road test. I thought I made two mistakes during the test. After the test, he just put some notes on his PDA, then print out a receipt. That is my temporary driver licence. I got my driver licence. I believe the road test in U.S. is easier than in Taiwan.
